The Gujarat State Forest Development Corporation Limited (GSFDC) began its journey in August 1976 and was officially registered under the Companies Act 1956. Around 1979, the trade of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) was taken over by the government in Gujarat, and the Corporation was given the responsibility to handle it. Their main goal was to put into action the State Policy that aimed to safeguard the economic welfare of STs, SCs, and other vulnerable groups while also maintaining its identity as a corporate entity. It’s important to note that this Corporation doesn’t receive any grants or financial support directly from the Government.

GSFDC Recruitment for Pharmacist Overview

Requirements for Qualification:

• Having a degree in Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Pharmacy, Siddha, or Unani medicine from a University, State Government’s recognized bodies, councils, or boards in Indian Systems of Medicine approved by the Central or State Government.
• Holding a diploma in Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani medicine from a State Government or an institution acknowledged by the Central Government.
• Being a graduate in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, or Botany from a University recognized by the Central Government with a minimum of two years’ experience in manufacturing drugs related to Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani systems of medicine.
• Being a Vaid or Hakim registered in the State Practitioner Register, specializing in indigenous systems of medicines with at least four years of experience in manufacturing Siddha or Unani drugs.
• Qualifying as a Pharmacist in Ayurvedic (including Siddha) or Unani systems of medicine, and having at least eight years of experience in manufacturing Ayurvedic, Siddha, or Unani drugs as recognized by the Central Government.

GSFDC Recruitment— Experience

GSFDC Recruitment requires at least 1 year of experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing from a recognized Ayurvedic Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualification. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Co-operative Pharmacy, Limited Company, or Corporation.

Additionally, basic computer knowledge is required, and proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, and Sanskrit languages is necessary for this role. The salary offered is Rs. 30,000/- per month, and it’s negotiable. No other benefits beyond the monthly salary will be provided.

GSFDC Recruitment— Responsibility

• Follow the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Act for production.
• Check the quality of products made in the unit and improve where needed, aiming for the best from forest items.
• Create new patents and special products, getting approval for making and selling them.
• Make herbal medicine and get the green light to produce and sell it.
• Aid in making approved Ayurvedic herbs.
• Keep the production area clean using proper hygiene in manufacturing and train workers for this.
• Coordinate with the food and drug regulatory system in Gandhinagar and other offices for licenses and production.
• Train manufacturing unit workers with various types of training now and then.
• Guide on buying new machines and equipment for making existing and new products.
• Take necessary steps to maintain product quality during manufacturing, setting and keeping up with standards, and managing samples.
• Keep records related to the product.
