AP Prisons Department Recruitment— Qualification

  • Completion of a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy recognized by the Govt. of A.P. after finishing the intermediate course.
  • Completion of B.Pharmacy Course recognized by UGC.
  • Registration in A.P. Pharmacy Council (as per the notification date.) |

This position provides an opportunity for individuals meeting the mentioned qualifications to join as a Pharmacist on an outsourcing basis at the Central Prison in Nellore as directed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

We’re looking for eligible folks for these roles, provided they’re under 42 years old and not younger than 18. There’s a chance to extend the age limit by 5 years, up to 47, for SC/ST/BCs/EWS candidates. The deadline for age reckoning is 30th September 2023.

Pharmacist’s Responsibility:

  • Managing the medical stores.
  • Assessing the need for drugs, dressings, and appliances and informing the store officer to request them.
  • Keeping track of stock for drugs, dressings, and appliances.
  • Ensuring the quality of materials received in the medical stores.
  • Maintaining records of major and minor equipment in the hospital.
  • Ensuring medicines don’t expire by keeping an eye on their usage and expiry dates.
  • Overseeing the supply of chemicals and apparatus needed for Medical Boards.
  • Implementing risk and cost-effective purchase procedures to prevent infections.
  • Keeping records of expensive medicines and injections.
  • Handling billing for received medicines, etc.
  • Maintaining a register for unused stock.
  • Putting a hospital stamp on medicines and injections in the dispensary for identification.
  • Calculating the cost of drugs and materials supplied from medical stores for budgeting purposes.
  • Being available for emergency calls and any other duties assigned by the Medical Officer/Administrative authority.

Reservation Rule: The Reservation Rule will follow the AP State Government Outsourcing Employees’ current guidelines.

b) Fill out the form and submit it in person with all the required documents mentioned in the table below to the Superintendent of Jails, Central Prison, Nellore, before 05:00 PM on 17-01-2024.

  • Marks sheet for all the years of the qualifying examination.
  • provisional or permanent qualification certificate.

  • latest EWS certificate for OC candidates.
  • Certificates from Class IV to X, reflecting the candidate’s educational history.

AP Prisons Department Recruitment— Selection Process

A) Your marks from all the years in your qualifying exams will count for 75%.
B) After that, interviews /skill tests, or even both, will happen. These can give you a maximum of 25% marks.

General Instructions

  • You can’t do any private practice while you’re working on the contract.
  • All staff should stay at the official headquarters and be available for duty 24/7 in emergencies.
  • Rules from APCS (CCA) 1991 and other A.P. State Government rules for outsourced employees will control disciplinary actions.
  • Just getting the minimum passing marks won’t guarantee selection.
  • To apply, you must:
    • Be in good health and free from any physical problems that could stop you from working.
    • Have a good character and history suitable for the service.
    • Be an Indian citizen.
  • If you’re in a marriage with more than one spouse, you can’t apply.
  • Anyone dismissed from a State or Central Government service won’t be eligible.
  • Anyone convicted for a morally wrong crime by a court can’t apply.
  • Using any kind of influence will lead to disqualification and possible legal action.
  • Your application details are final, and no changes will be accepted.
  • If you hide or give false information at any stage, your application will be rejected. Legal actions might follow.
