IPC is part of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, set up to ensure drugs in India meet specific standards. They regularly update these standards for the medicines needed to treat diseases here. IPC publishes important documents like the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) to improve medicine quality. They also encourage the right use of generic medicines by creating the National Formulary of India. IP lays down rules for how medicines should be made – making sure they’re safe and effective for both people and animals.

IPC Recruitment 2024 Overview:

Applications are invited for the following vacant post at the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), an Autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ghaziabad, through the Manpower Resource Outsourcing Services Providing Agency.

IPC Recruitment 2024-Qualification:

Qualification: Pharm.D / MBBS / BDS from a recognized university / Institute OR Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice, and Clinical Research.

Job Description:

1. Liaison with Public Health Programme such as TB, HIV, and National Vector Borne diseases.
2. Management and analysis of Adverse Events reported (specific to drugs used in Public Health Programmes) at national and global databases.
3. Coordinating with WHO-SEARO & WHO Headquarters related to Pharmacovigilance Activities.
4. Assisting IPC & CDSCO in developing risk minimisation-related training.

Period of engagement:

For IPC Recruitment 2024, the tenure of the contract will be for a period of one year. However, in case the work and conduct of the staff are not found to be satisfactory during the contract tenure, the services may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof.
