The G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment, formerly known as the G.B. Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment & Development, was founded in 1988-89, during the centenary celebration of Bharat Ratna Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India. This institute is recognized as a pivotal agency dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, devising comprehensive management strategies, demonstrating their effectiveness in conserving natural resources, and ensuring environmentally sustainable development throughout the entire Indian Himalayan Region (IHR).

GBPIHED Recruitment 2023 Overview:

We invite applications exclusively from Indian citizens for the following contractual position at the Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. Candidates who possess the required qualifications are encouraged to attend the Interview on November 8, 2023, starting at 10:00 A.M. Applicants participating in the interview should bring all original documents (along with photocopies) of their certificates, testimonials, and relevant experience, in addition to their application.

Scope of Work:

• Perform regular duties as a nursing assistant/pharmacist.
• Assist the Doctor/Medical officer at the Institute Dispensary.
• Attend to residents and staff members of the Institute during medical emergencies.
• Fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the Institute Dispensary Incharge/Medical Officer.

Duration of Engagement:

For GBPIHED Recruitment 2023, the engagement will be on a purely temporary basis initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on requirements and performance. However, no extension will be granted after reaching the age of 60 years under any circumstances.

*Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically handicapped candidates as per rules.

General Instructions for GBPIHED Recruitment 2023:

• Candidates who wish to participate in the interview through online/virtual mode must submit an advance copy of the application in the prescribed format, along with all supporting documents (educational, experience, etc.), to the specified email address ([email protected]) by 5:00 PM on October 30, 2023 (Monday).
• Eligible candidates who meet the criteria are welcome to attend the Walk-In-Interview on November 8, 2023, at 10:00 A.M.
• Candidates must bring original documents related to their educational qualifications and experience, along with one set of photocopies. Experience without a certificate will not be considered.
• The selected candidate(s) are expected to join immediately.
• The selected candidate may be assigned to locations anywhere in India.
• No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
• The Institute reserves the right to discontinue the engagement at any time without specifying reasons.
• The engagement is strictly temporary in nature.
• In the event of any disputes or ambiguities during the selection process, the decision of the Institute will be final in all matters related to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, the mode of selection, and the conduct of the examination/interview, with no further inquiries entertained from individuals or their representatives.
• Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.
