JIPMER Puducherry Recruitment Educational Qualifications:
Specialist –Anaesthesiology – 2 (UR)
Essential Qualifications:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Those with educational qualifications listed in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
(ii) A postgraduate qualification, e.g., M.D. in Anaesthesiology or a recognized equivalent qualification.
Experience: A minimum of three years experience in a recognized institution in Anaesthesiology after obtaining the qualifying M.D. in Anaesthesiology.
Specialist – Cardiology – 1 (UR) Posts
Essential Qualifications:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Those with educational qualifications listed in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
(ii) D.M. in Cardiology or a recognized equivalent qualification.
Experience: One year of experience in recognized institutions/universities in the subject of specialty after obtaining a D.M. in Cardiology (two years or five years recognized course after MBBS); No experience is required for a D.M. in Cardiology (three years/6 years) or a recognized equivalent qualification.
Specialist – Medicine – 1 (OBC)
Posts Essential Qualifications:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Experience: Three-year experience in a recognized institution in Orthopaedics after obtaining the qualifying M.S. in Orthopaedics
Specialist – RadioDiagnosis – 1 (OBC)
Post Essential Qualifications:
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Specialist – Surgery – 1 (UR)
Post Essential Qualifications:

General Duty Medical Officer
(1) A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 [persons possessing qualifications included in Part II of Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13 (3) of the Act].
(2) Three years experience after a one-year compulsory Internship.
Child Psychologist
M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology or its equivalent from a recognized Institute or University. AND At least 2 years of experience in Child Adolescent Mental Health in a recognized Institute / Hospital.
Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (Central Rehabilitation Register, CRR).
Nursing Officer
(i) B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University (OR) B.Sc. (Post-certificate) / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute / University.
(ii) Registered as a Nurse and Midwife in the State / Indian Nursing Council.
(OR)
(i) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council / State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board or Council.
(ii) Registered as a Nurse and Midwife in the State/Indian Nursing Council.
(iii) Two Years’ experience in a minimum 50–bed hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above.
X-Ray Technician (Radio-Diagnosis)
- B.Sc. in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent (3 years course) from a recognized University or Institution.
- Two years experience in operating radio diagnosis equipment in an established Institute / Hospital / Imaging Centre.
Junior Occupational Therapist
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent
- Two years experience in the Occupational Therapy Department in a Hospital.
(OR) - Diploma in Occupational Therapy (not less than 3 years) from a recognized Institution / Hospital.
- Three years experience in the Occupational Therapy Department in a Hospital.
Junior Physiotherapist
- Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
- Two years experience in the Physiotherapy Department in a Hospital.
(OR) - Diploma in Physiotherapy (not less than 3 years) from a recognized Institution / Hospital.
- Three years’ experience in the Physiotherapy Department in a Hospital.
Medical Laboratory Technologist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (OR)

Pharmacist – I
- Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent.

- Two years’ experience as a Pharmacist. AND II. Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
Stenographer Grade – II

Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m
Transcription: 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) [On computer]
Junior Administrative Assistant
(i) 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or University. AND
(ii) A Typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi only on Computer. (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Test Center for Computer-Based Test (CBT): The preferred test centers for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be in Puducherry, Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Bengaluru (Bangalore), Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry), Tiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Kochi, Kozikode, Kollam, Kannur, or any other locations as determined by the Director of JIPMER. However, candidates cannot claim the right to be allotted a specific center. The allocation of the exam center will be at the discretion of JIPMER.
