For more than six incredible decades, NLC India Limited has been a pioneer among the Public Sector Enterprises in the country in the energy sector. It has played a significant role in lignite production and has made substantial contributions to thermal and renewable energy generation. The company, established on 14.11.1956, is a Navratna Government of India Enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Coal.

Today, NLCIL has expanded its presence across India in states like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. As a leader in the Public Sector Undertakings in the energy sector, NLCIL operates three opencast Lignite Mines with a total installed capacity of 30 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) at Neyveli. Additionally, it runs one opencast Lignite Mine at Barsingsar in Rajasthan with an installed capacity of 2.10 MTPA and an open-cast coal mine at Talabira in Odisha with an installed capacity of 20 MTPA.

Other Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam in 2019/2020/2021/2022 & 2023.
• Candidates should not have completed postgraduate qualifications.
• Candidates should not have undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training in NLCIL or elsewhere.
• Candidates should not have experience of one year or more in any job.
• Candidates should be hailing from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, and the Union territories of Pondicherry and Lakshadweep.

Age:

The age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Reservation of Vacancies:

Guidelines under the Apprentices Act on Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/EWS will be followed. Those claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD should provide certificates as per the Government standard format.

Instructions to Candidates:

• Candidates must calculate the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and enclose it with the application form.
• Overstatement of marks will lead to disqualification.
• Selection is based on the percentage of marks scored in the qualifying Diploma/Degree.

• In the case of grades/CGPA, equivalence in percentage will be established.
