1.0 AIM: The objective is to establish a comprehensive Procedure for the Sanitization of Drain Points.
2.0 OBJECTIVE: This procedure is applicable to the sanitization process of drain points within the production area.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibility for implementing this procedure lies with the Officer and Executive of the Production Department, along with the Manager of the Production Department.

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1 Sanitizing Drain Points
5.1.1 Begin by thoroughly cleaning the drain using a nylon scrubber and purified water.
5.1.2 Next, introduce 500 ml of a 2.5% v/v solution of either Dettol or Savlon into the drain, ensuring it remains in the drain points for a duration of 15 minutes.
5.1.3 The disinfectant solution must be changed on a daily basis.
5.1.4 Conclude the day by sanitizing the drain point.
5.1.5 All sanitization activities should be diligently recorded in Annexure-I, as provided.
5.2 Precautionary Measures
5.2.1 It is advised to alternate the usage of the disinfectants, Savlon and Dettol, every week.
